On our first night there after a dinner at Carl's Jr. we came back to the hotel and enjoyed some drinks and dessert at the restaurant in our hotel
Yum! :)
View from our level
Our hotel. Right on top of a mall.
Sunday morning we spent some time at Starbucks reading and enjoying coffee and a yummy breakfast
After breakfast, we spent some time by the pool relaxing - one of my favorite things :)
That afternoon, we went to watch "Oz the Great and Powerful" - it was really good. Always fun to wear those 3D glasses!
A beautiful sunset in Jakarta on our way out of the movie
After the movie, we enjoyed a yummy dinner at a cute little steak restaurant we found right across from our hotel
On our 2nd night, we ordered in room service and caught up on a little American Idol
It really was a perfect little getaway. I am so blessed to have a husband who takes care of me and loves me so well. I am also thankful to be married to a guy who I truly enjoy spending time with - being with him is my favorite place to be :).
Over the next few weeks we have lots going on. Today a big tournament called the SPH cup begins, so Erik will be busy with that for a few days. Next week is our last week before spring break - and in my class we will be busy learning about Easter and finishing up the term with a Easter craft day on Friday. Our good friend Kris arrives on Sunday the 24th, and then we head off to Thailand with him and our other friend Lindsey on Tuesday! We are SO excited to explore a new place and doing it with great friends always makes trips more fun! After Kris leaves, we have a week of school that will be filled with finishing up term 3 stuff (grades, term plans, conferences, etc.) and then ..... drum-roll .... MOM AND DAD GET HERE!!! I am obviously beyond thrilled! That week will be busy with the stuff dad is planning and doing, but we are SO excited for them to visit and experience life here with us in Jakarta. After mom and dad leave, I imagine we will blink and June will be here and we will be packing up our classrooms, saying bye to friends for the summer, and getting on plane bound for Seattle. I know I have said it all year, but I really can't believe how fast this year has flown. Please be praying for us over the next few weeks as we finish up term 3, and begin our last term that we would get the things done that we need to and that details of little things would be figured out. We are really excited about the things God is doing in our lives right now! :)
Well, thanks for reading. Bye for now <3
